Visit Nepal Year 2020

Nepal is often considered as one of the best places in the world for travel. The country is full of exotic multicultural aspects and natural beauty. The tourism sector of Nepal has a lot of potential for growth and expansion. It is one of the largest sources of income for the country. 

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has planned to organize ‘Visit Nepal Year’ in 2020 to attract more tourists to the country. The government has set a target to bring in two million tourists each year by the targeted year.

Although the govt had earlier planned to celebrate Visit Nepal Year in 2018, it was put off due to the delay in construction of airports, heritage sites and roads. The government has planned to complete the expansion of International Airport in Kathmandu and construction of new Gautama Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa before 2020, along with the reconstruction of major heritage sites. The ministry will initiate the process to bring strategic partner for Nepal Airlines Corporation, the national flag carrier. Besides the govt has announced several promotional activities to make the campaign success. 

In the history of the tourism, various 'Visit Nepal' campaigns have been organized to help promote Nepal globally and attract more tourists.
