Overview
The Annapurna region in central Nepal offers some of the most scenic trails in the world. Owning to its geographical and cultural diversity, trekking here is a real treat. This area has sub-tropical lowlands, valleys, bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, windswept desert plateaus and the towering Annapurna Mountains. The people of this region are an assortment of different ethnic groups though mostly dominated by Gurungs and Magars. This trek in the Annapurna foothills to the top of Poon Hill is one of the most pleasant trekking areas.

Itinerary
Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu, Nepal
Meeting and assistance at the airport
You will be welcomed with Khada (Tibetan silk scarf) or flower garland outside the arrival terminal gate by our representative.

Morning, half-day tour of old Kathmandu city, its Durbar square, myriad of temples including the temple residence of the Living Goddess, Kumari. Proceed on to Swoyambhunath Stupa. Swoyambhunath is a Buddhist Stupa said to be more than 2000 years old, is perched on a hillock 77 meters above the valley floor and offering a bird’s eye view of the Kathmandu City.
Afternoon, tour of Bhaktapur - the "City of Devotees" and the home of medieval art and architecture, a classic showcase of medieval Nepalese town life. Walk through the brick paved Palace Square overlooked by the Palace of the 55 windows with its imposing Golden Gate, The Pashupatinath Temple built as a replica of the original in Kathmandu overlooked by the finely carved Chyasalin Mandap in the centre. Walk to the Nyatapole Temple the five storied Pagoda, the tallest temple in the country guarded by a series of mythical animals and deities overlooking the Bhairav temple dedicated to the Tantric deity of Bhairav.

Morning, drive to Pokhara valley (200 kms / 5-6 hrs), famed for its emerald lakes and awesome snow peaks looming overhead. Transfer to your hotel.

Morning, drive to Phedi (22 Kms/30 mins). Commence trek. Walk along a steep uphill trail to Dhampus village.

After breakfast, continue your walk along a soft uphill trail through protected forest land which is almost like a gentle staircase. Cross over a small windy pass and descend slowly to the village of Landrung in the afternoon.

A steep descent through the dense and dark forest to a beautiful village located on the lap of giant Annapurna massive is known as Chomrong.

Today, trek from Chomrong till Himalaya. During your five-hour walking, you cross Modi Khola, pass through Khuldigar, Bamboo, and Doban and finally reach Himalaya.

Trek from Himalaya to Machhapuchhare Basecamp, a grassy moraine platform.

The trail continues gradual ascending Annapurna Base Camp. This area is called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by spectacular mountains.
Later, trek down to Doban
Overnight at the local lodge/teahouse in Doban.
Descend to Chomrong from Doban through dense forests of rhododendron and bamboo across Annapurna mountain range.

Trek from Chomrong till Ghandrung, which offers witness unique culture, tradition and custom of Gurung community.

After breakfast, trek down to Syauli Bazaar via Kimche. Continue on to Birethanti village. A short walk down from Birethanti is Nayapool. Drive back to Pokhara (42 kms/1 hrs)

After breakfast, commence your return journey back to Kathmandu.
